I had a random idea the other day for your clocks. The idea is a clock that will chime every hour. The idea seems simple but the gears would probably be complex. I think it would be cool if it would play the Westminster quarter, the sound that big ben makes. This may be hard to design in a 3d printed clock, but it would be cool.

Well---- You could cheat and have one of the micro processor driven clocks "chime" with a speaker. (Ducking
down to avoid the shoe being thrown).
If you have time, it still could be a good idea to make a file compatible with all your 3d printed clocks that would chime a bell. If not that is fine.
Yes, it would be cool. It is also incredibly complicated to do it properly.
A passing strike that rings a bell once an hour is easy, but not very interesting. A full Westminster chime is more effort than the rest of the clock. There are just as many gears plus at least a dozen different levers and trigger mechanisms. Most clock books have only a very short chapter about the striking mechanism, so a lack of information is also an issue.
It is a challenge that I have been thinking about for a long time. And I may continue thinking about it for a long time in the future. I am not sure if it will ever happen in a printed clock.
If you like my idea, maybe you can design it.
