SP13: Small 8 Day Clock

This is my most reliable classic style weight driven clock. It has an 8-day runtime and an accuracy of 1-2 minutes per week. It is a complete re-design of my small pendulum wall clock with a focus on making it easy to build. The only machining required is cutting the arbors to length.

All the best features from my newer clocks have been brought together into a small, elegant design. The pendulum components drop into place without glue. The winding key is easier to build and more stable. Multiple size weight shells are provided to allow filling with either lead shot or safer BBs. The bill of materials has been reduced considerably compared to the original design. Every component in the design has been optimized to make the clock easier to build.

The clock is 6.65" wide by 10.75" tall and 5.4" deep (170mm x 275mm x 140mm). The tip of the pendulum is 24" long (610mm).

The minimum printer size is 170mm by 170mm. Total print time on a Prusa MK3S is around 65 hours using 0.7kg of PLA filament.

and this clock (SP13 on the right). They look similar, but the new design has many improvements making it significantly easier to build and more reliable.
