My unicorn clock for grandkids. I fill my weights with epoxy resin so they don't explode if dropped like this one. I now wrap the string around the post at 6:00 so it doesn't come un-hooked when winding.

Yes they do even though it is still at my house for visiting. Takes some doing to create weight shells, get them sized, adjust angle, CG and re-size the pulley. I use led shot then fill with epoxy resin which is a lot of extra work. The shells leak and have to be sealed before adding resin. I have had a lot of experience with epoxy, so it made sense for me. I dropped my first weight and it burst, made a mess. I am thinking about a Stargate clock next, clockface and pendulum are easy but I haven't decided on a weight shell.

Very nice upgrade. I bet the grandkids love it.
