Thanks Steve, I have done the trial and error routine, was about walk away then discovered my issue . The cables out of the box are fine, the issue in the end was the programmer. The Nano V4 I bought needed the USB Tiny ISP. Tried over and over to upload to the board without success, started changing processors and programmers and finally came up with the successful combination. ATmega328P with new boot loader and the USBaspTinyISP. Heading out to finish assembly. That is 4 of your clocks running now, still got minor bugs but all running. The SP9 build is for a 70th birthday present.

Good morning, Have printed my SP9 and finally received the electronics. The Nema17 cables, I ordered 4, have me worried, I checked to see if there was a crossover and the cables are all 1,2,3,4 to 1,4,6,3 red, blue, green, black Have checked and this appears to be correct for the motors with 1-4 and 3-6 going to each coil. When I plug the USB C in the motor is locked up, is there anything I should be worried about ? I will set up another Nano and CNC Shield V4 today to eliminate any mistakes I have made with the edits. Still working through why the Arduino IDE doesn’t recognise my board. Cheers Brett

I printed the front at an angle with supports and had a problem with distortion. Added a magnetic build plate and printed it flat with a great finish. The only issue was the 3 and 9 o’clock edges were slightly squared off. All the gears printed perfectly with only the slightest elephants feet. Hole sizes are very very close and needed a quick hone with a drill bit by hand. I have used white resin and used glass paint on the face. Still working through an issue with the escapement and pallet. Have started printing the medium sized pendulum clock while resolving issues with the basic build. My biggest issue is the hardware components as I live in a remote rural area on an island 😋
