Minimum weight of 2 kg for SP13 and SP5

I have followed all of Steve's advice for the proper debugging of his fantastic clocks and I have come to the conclusion that, at least in my opinion, a minimum weight is worth the expense of a longer life.

So far I have printed both the SP13 and the SP5 and I note that they work perfectly with only 2 kg of weight with a pendulum swing of almost 6 degrees!

The SP13 has been running for almost a week while the SP5 has been mounted on the wall for a day.

What experiences do you have with the minimum weight for reliable operation?

I think that giving a winding every 7-8 days is more than acceptable for a grandfather clock.

p.s.: Steve said that he is working on a redesign of his SP13: when will the new project be released?

It is running perfectly if it has a 6 degree swing with 2kg. The smallest stable weight reduces wear and keeps it quieter.

I don't know when a refresh of SP13 will happen. It will be relatively minor, just the new gear profiles.
