SP 16 compact clock
I finished the SP 16 compact clock and it runs but I cannot get it to keep time. I am almost sure the friction clutch is slipping. I have a Timetrax clock timer and I have the pendulum adjusted for 4800 BPH per Steve's notes. The timekeeping is erratic.. sometimes it will stay on the the correct time for several hours then the next time I look it will be a few to several minutes slow. I had originally used 1/16" music wire for the clutch and thinking it was too small I bought 1.6mm music wire and tried that but the clock still has erratic timekeeping (always slow). I am thinking about re printing gear four (which is the clutch) or maybe using larger diameter music wire in gear 4. Has anyone had the same problem? or have any suggestions?

The SP 16 compact clock is running and keeping time great now. First thing I tried was the modified clutch from Dave... now the clock would stop occasionally which confirmed Steve's thoughts that it was a friction problem. When I printed the gears I had used some cheap filament from Temu.. I wasn't happy with the results but I used them anyway. The gears were sort of fuzzy and took a lot of cleaning up. I decided to print all new gears (including the modified gear 4) with better filament, reassembled and now the clock runs pefectly.
