It is similar to any of my other pendulum clocks. The larger clocks are slightly louder than the smaller clocks due to the larger escapement. Heavier drive weights make the clock more reliable at the expense of increased noise.
My version measures about 38db from 3' away. I don't mind it in my office where there is other background noise from computer fans. I wouldn't want it in my bedroom when I am trying to sleep.
