There is a somewhat related discussion involving much more expensive iglide filament here: https://www.stevesclocks.com/forum/printed-clocks/igus-filaments I was wondering if anybody wanted to run some tests on friction of PLA vs. PETG components for the gear train? There is some very limited discussion of this online but nobody seems to know the answer: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/e8lm57/coefficient_of_friction_of_various_printed/

The arbors I have out of music wire have a 3mm diameter. They do not seem to fit into the 623RS bearings that well. Maybe I could get them in by hammering them in, but they are probably a fraction of a millimetre too big. Should I be: Filing their ends to fit? Forcing them in? (I am quite concerned this would damage the bearings). It's hard to tell from the videos what's happening.

Maybe this is a silly question, but in the guide to the 32-day clock, it is indicated that if you have 623RS bearings, the rubber seals should be removed. Why is this? Do I just stick a pin into it and try and pull it out?
